Loofah! Loofah! Getting Dirty with Scrubbing Bubbles

Square

For obvious reasons Method is a big supporter of the Household Product Labeling Act. While the product in this little spot is called Shiny Suds it is clearly a swipe at the chemical-heavy Dow product Scrubbing Bubbles.

And, well, it is hilarious! In it the bubbles hang out and watch and comment on the woman showering in it.

Enjoy!

Update: Apparently, and shockingly to me at least, there has been some controversy over this ad. Enough so in fact that Method pulled the commercial. Some even tossed the “rape” word around. I suppose I am just not sensitive enough but, “Huh??!”

  1. This was funny!

I don’t trust anything, especially bubbles.

  2. I love those bubbles! They are much cuter than those weird flipped-anemone tentacled jellyfish things.

Also, I’d never even considered the possibility of a woman being wrongfully objectified by chemical residue. As a feminist, I should be far more alert to such dangers.

  3. Who would have imagined? Lascivious, lecherous bubbles. Great ad: hilarious & thought provoking.

Are you familiar with Mrs. Meyer’s products? I love ’em!
