So apparently humans screwing up the temperatures and Earth’s climate is nothing new. It turns out that we managed to do it well over 12,000 years ago.
When humans…aka the two-legged menace…spread like the plague across the New World they over-hunted big game like the mammoth. This sudden lack of megafauna meant that all that methane gas that the animals were burping and farting out into the atmosphere suddenly dropped. This tipped off a huge global temperature dip and a long age of freezing.
So yeah, were up to our same old tricks.
