Jerry Nelson shuffled off this mortal coil yesterday. Chances are you don’t know that name.
If that’s the case then about now you’re probably wondering why even I’m telling you this seemingly random bit of information.
Well, although you probably don’t know his name I’m betting you DO know Jerry’s voice. You see, Jerry was the beloved Count from Sesame Street that so many of us grew up on. (Plus the voice of so many more like Herry Monster and Gobo Fraggle on Fraggle Rock).

That’s pretty nifty puppetry and design, there – at first I was like, “how’s he passing that 8 from hand to hand with fake hands! Those arms don’t have anything in them?” But I guess there are hands coming in from behind the cape.
Speaking of the cape, I never realized the Count’s cape had such a festive lining.
