I personally think Subway is coming out on the losing end of this fight. Right now they are looking silly and petty. Meanwhile Domino’s is looking clever and funny.
I fail to understand why Subway doesn’t seize this opportunity to get clever themselves. Counter with something brash, new and memorable. Quiznos was left chasing Subway’s $5 footlong campaign in which they effectively established the new price point for subs industry wide. Why not step up to the plate and challenge Domino’s now?
