The power of collaboration is a beautiful thing. This is without a doubt the best version of Ben E. King’s classic “Stand By Me” I have ever run across. It’s a clip from the documentary “Playing For Change: Peace Through Music“.
The original base track from street musician Roger Ridley was recorded on the street in Santa Monica and then taken around the world with unknown musicians contributing. Using essentially just a laptop and some microphones the producers captured something really special.
