From my “file of things I miss that I never had” is this 1950’s commercial for Remington Electric Shavers featuring a Barbershop quartet and a catchy song that includes shaving peaches.
My father sang Barbershop quartet with his father…and of course a couple of other guys…so it pushes some personal nostalgia buttons for me. (Did you know that Barbershop produce a fifth ringing chord, or overtone, commonly known as the angel’s voice of fifth voice? Yup, my dad taught me that.)
